Kabale University Mathematics Enthusiasts (KUME) is a students’ mathematics club under the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science. Join KUME for an exciting day of intellectual rivalry! The Intra-Years Mathematics Quiz Competition brings together undergraduate students to showcase their speed, accuracy, and deep understanding of this semester’s core mathematical concepts.
Guided by the theme “Creating a collaborative environment in sharing mathematical concepts,” this event is designed to bridge the gap between lecture room theory and competitive application. This isn’t just a competition; it is a student-led academic intervention aimed at boosting performance and fostering a “living cooperation” among learners.
Why Attend?
Targeted Revision: Questions are curated by departmental lecturers, drawn directly from current course units like Advanced Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and more.
Peer Competition: Teams from Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 will compete within their respective year groups to crown the ultimate math champions of their class.

- Year 1: Advanced Calculus, Advanced Linear Algebra, and Elements of Probability & Statistics.
- Year 2: Statistical Inference, Numerical Analysis, and Mathematics Teaching Methods.
- Year 3: Abstract Algebra, Number Theory, and Introductory Topology.
