Kabale University Law Students to Visit the Parliament of Uganda

The Faculty of Law at Kabale University had earlier scheduled an academic visit for second-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) students to the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda on Tuesday, 18th November 2025. However, the visit has been postponed to Tuesday, 25th November 2025 and Wednesday, 26th November 2025.

The academic visit aims to deepen students’ understanding of the legislative process and expose them to real-life parliamentary operations as part of the faculty’s experiential learning initiatives. During the visit, students will observe parliamentary proceedings, interact with Members of Parliament and gain practical insights into how laws are debated and enacted. This experience is intended to strengthen the connection between theoretical study and practical governance.

The flag-off ceremony that was planned for Monday, 17th November 2025 at the Kabale University main bus parking area has also been postponed. A new date and time will be communicated once Parliament confirms the final programme for the visit.

Despite the change in schedule, the Faculty of Law remains committed to providing students with meaningful learning experiences that enhance their understanding of Uganda’s governance and justice systems. The upcoming visit continues to align with the University’s mission to produce graduates who combine legal knowledge with civic awareness and practical exposure.

Official updates on the rescheduled flag-off and travel arrangements will be communicated in due course.
