Kabale University BCPA Cultural & Performing Arts Concert

The concert seeks to provide students with an opportunity to present a carefully curated two-hour production combining music, theatre, contemporary dance, traditional performance and Afro-fusion instrumental music. The concert also aims to position the students not simply as performers, but as emerging creative professionals, cultural interpreters, producers, entrepreneurs and custodians of Uganda’s evolving creative heritage. It will therefore function not merely as entertainment, but as a practical learning laboratory in which students will demonstrate competencies in stage management, production, directing, choreography, musical arrangement, technical production, audience management and creative entrepreneurship. It will also provide Kabale University Management, staff, students, parents and other stakeholders with an opportunity to experience the creative potential of the students on the BCPA programme.

Objectives of the Concert:

  1. Demonstrate the creative and performing competencies acquired by students.
  2. Strengthen the visibility and identity of the BCPA programme at Kabale University.
  3. Provide parents, University Management and other stakeholders with an opportunity to appreciate students’ creative achievements.
  4. Create a platform through which students can begin developing professional portfolios and performance networks.
