Kabale University to Conduct Faculty Training in Competence-Based Curriculum Design

Kabale University will conduct a week-long Faculty Training in Competence-Based Curriculum Design from 22nd to 26th June 2026. The training is organized following findings from Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) readiness surveys and competency assessment exercises conducted across the University’s faculties and institutes, which highlighted the need to strengthen staff capacity in competence-based curriculum development.

The training is aimed at equipping academic staff, faculty leaders, technicians, and academic administrators with practical skills in designing and implementing competence-based curricula that align with contemporary educational and industry needs. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions and collaborative curriculum development exercises using selected academic programs as demonstration models.
