The Kabale University Anti-Corruption Challenge: “Unveiling Voices Against Corruption,” is an event organised to empower and engage students in creative expression, including poetry, articles, essay, speeches, and songs, to denounce corruption and propose actionable solutions.
Objective:
The challenge aims to empower students to become advocates for transparency, accountability, and responsibility, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical leadership among the youth.
Theme:
The theme, “Corruption in Different Sectors: Voices for Change,” invites participants to explore corruption in education, infrastructure, health, governance, and environment, highlighting its impact and proposing solutions related to Values, Morals, and Character.
Format:
Participants will submit entries in poetry, articles, speeches, and songs, addressing corruption’s essence, effects, and the need for action.
Judging Criteria:
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, clarity, relevance, and presentation, with a focus on unique perspectives and innovative approaches to addressing corruption.
Timeline:
The challenge will take placefrom 5th April, 2024 to 27th April, 2024

Judging will be from 21st April, 2024 to 23rd April 2024
An awarding ceremony for the best will be on 27th April, 2024
Prizes:
The best will receive prizes and certificates, with all participants receiving certificates of participation.
Conclusion:
Organized by the BANG (Becoming A New Generation) club of Kabale University in partnership with Kabale University Guild Government, the challenge provides a platform for students to raise their voices against corruption and propose solutions. Participants can contribute to the fight against corruption and inspire others to join the cause.
How the Challenge Will Run:
- Registration: Participants will register and be directed to a WhatsApp group.
- Briefing: An anti-corruption expert will provide details about the challenge, expectations, thematic areas, and rewards.
- Training: Online sessions will be organised to guide participants on how to create impactful performances.
- Submission: For speeches and Poems,participants will be required to submit a word document and recorded Video of not more than five minutes.
- Thematic Focus: Entries should relate findings to sectoral budget allocations and suggest actions for citizens and duty bearers.
- Engagement: Participants will engage in discussions and activities related to anti-corruption efforts.
