Kabale University will host a one day capacity building training facilitated by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology. This training is part of a national effort to strengthen innovation management, digital competency, and intellectual property readiness among innovators, researchers, start ups and MSMEs.
The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology is implementing these trainings under its mandate within the Fourth National Development Plan and the Private Sector Development Programme, which prioritize digital skills, innovation support and the growth of university incubation systems across the country.
This engagement aims to equip selected participants with practical knowledge on leveraging digital technologies, managing innovation processes and protecting intellectual property within the research and innovation ecosystem.
Participants will be guided through:
- Digital technologies that support innovation
- Innovation management and commercialization
- Intellectual property systems and protection
- Strengthening digital skills for research and enterprise growth
Participation is strictly limited to 25 participants to ensure effective engagement. Selected participants will include innovators, university researchers, early stage entrepreneurs and staff involved in research or innovation support.
A team led by Mrs. Florence Agwang, Head of Grants Management at UNCST, will work closely with the University to coordinate logistics and prepare the training programme.
